Fourteen Years of Marriage, My Hubby Knows Me Well
June 20, 2014 • Leave a Comment
Yesterday was my husband and mine's fourteenth wedding anniversary. When I got home from work there was a nice present bag on the table. I thought it was for his mom because her birthday is this week, too. We had discussed going out and doing something fun, which is what we do every year, so I wasn't expecting a present and didn't go out and buy one for him. :( In the bag was a lovely card, a gift card from Amazon (my fav place to shop), and a box full of Hershey chocolate bars.
I love chocolate. I'm trying not to eat any right now to get my weight back down (7 pounds down so far!), buuuuut, I guess I'll make an exception considering all of his trouble. I'll just eat a little at a time.
The amazon gift card I'm sure is for me to buy more books. I love reading. I haven't been doing it much lately because I'm preoccupied with my business changeover, and job changeover issues. I teased him and said I was going to buy more fire engine red hair extensions with it (lol a whole story in itself).
He also included a dinner and a movie promise, which he also knows I love to do. It was very sweet of him. I'm not the best at expressing my feelings so I did the only thing I knew to do, I sat on his lap and cuddled him, which he loves. No, actually he hates that, but I did it anyway.
I'll have to introduce him to my new love so he can get me that next year. Bryers Gelato ice cream. I eat it all before he ever gets to try it so this time I'll behave and let him have some. My husband deserves it.
