New Years Japanese Lucky Bag From Japan Crate Fukubukuro (福袋, Lucky bag") is a Japanese New Years custom where stores in Japan make grab bags filled with unknown random contents and sell them for a substantial discount, usually 50% or more off the list price of the items contained within. The only American store I know of that does this is Michaels.
